Our whole community enjoyed a host of activities to celebrate the birthday of All Hallows, which was founded on All Saints Day. The children enjoyed a large inflatable assault course, hot chocolate in the woods, face painting, Bhangra dancing and, of course, the annual House Music competition.
It is important for the children to understand the history and heritage of the school that is such a big part of their lives. So the birthday was also marked with an assembly celebrating the heritage and key events in the history of the school. The children particularly enjoyed hearing about the antics of past pupil Morris Coreth, who held up by penknife, a parachutist who got stuck in a tree on Dartmoor, tried to sign up as a soldier when he was 10 and boarding at All Hallows and went on to be chased by pirates! No birthday would be complete without cake, and what a cake it was...a large chocolate one, big enough to feed the whole school!
