A number of Year 8 children wishing to really enhance their command of the French language (as well as have a lot of fun!) left for Normandy accompanied by staff at the end of last term. This annual trip is a great opportunity for the children to practice their listening and spoken skills. The children also wrote a journal during the trip - a key element in their learning. Mealtimes were an especially good chance to learn, practice and to re-visit basic food vocabulary and to communicate effectively!. The group took part in a wide range of activities ranging from archery, map reading,
team-building exercises, initiative games, a talent show, visits to the
hypermarket and climbing and bread making. The staff were very impressed by the children's resilience, ability to work together and their consideration towards others.
