Welcome to our international friends

We warmly welcome pupils from around the world to our amazing school and our homely boarding community. Pupils are known for settling quickly into our community, making friends who will, in all likelihood, be friends for life.

A warm welcome

We will welcome your child into our community and celebrate the diversity of culture that comes with them into our school. They will enjoy:

Excellent academic tuition

All Hallows is well known for the fantastic learning environment, where children regularly achieve above and beyond their expectations. Our teachers are very well qualified and passionate about what they teach, inspiring the children to take an active role in their learning. Academic attainment is excellent with a number of pupils gaining academic scholarships to their senior schools each year. Our English as an Additional Language (EAL) tuition provides additional support in developing language skills and the opportunity to take internationally recognised examinations.

Outstanding opportunities with a broad curriculum

Your child will have outstanding educational opportunities across a broad curriculum where core academic subjects of English, Mathematics, Science and Languages are complemented by RE, Humanities and PSHE. Outside the classroom, the children enjoy creative design technology, art, music, drama and sport.

A warm and caring boarding environment

Your child will be welcomed into our our boarding family with outstanding care from our dedicated house parents.

A busy day!

Your child will enjoy an active life outside the school day as well as time for relaxation and catching up on those all important video calls with family.

A truly immersive experience

All our international pupils enjoy an immersive language experience as well as our broad and innovative curriculum. Additional English programmes are tailored to each individual. In the interests of providing the very best experience for each and every pupil, we restrict the number of children speaking the same language who first language is not English so early application is recommended.

Length of stay

To make the most of a British prep school experience, we recommend that pupils join us for a minimum period of one year and preferably longer. Pupils joining us on this basis take priority.

If we have availability, we are very happy for pupils to join us for just 1 or 2 terms or to come for a few weeks as a short stay taster experience prior to returning to All Hallows at a later date.

Visits

We warmly welcome visitors by prior appointment and we are now also able to offer 'Virtual Open Morning' tours alongside video conferences with our Head and prospective parents, their children and educational agents.

Applications

We are very happy to work both with educational agents and directly with families as preferred. There is no deadline for applications which may be submitted at any time throughout the year preceding entry or even beforehand.

How to apply

On receipt of your application, we will request school reports and references - we will explain to you what we would like. Testing, if required, can be arranged online or can take place when visiting the school, if requested beforehand.

Visas

All international students joining All Hallows for more than 6 months will require a Visa. Those studying at All Hallows for just one term may do so under a standard visitor visa. We are able to sponsor UKVI Child Student visas and we will help to guide you through the process.

Educational Guardians

We require all children whose parents live outside Europe to appoint an Educational Guardian and advise those whose parents in Europe to consider this too. Whilst we are not able to recommend guardians, we are happy to share with you information about guardians we have worked with in the past. Packages offered range from emergency cover only or just arranging host families for exeats to full guardianship where you can be represented at parents evenings and other school functions.

Exeats and Half Terms

We have a small number of exeats (usually just 3) during the school year where the school is closed. Generally, our British pupils love inviting their overseas friends home for these weekends.

Families might like to take the opportunity to visit the UK during half terms.  With easy access to Bath, Bristol and London and local attractions such as Stonehenge, Glastonbury, Wells Cathedral and much more there is plenty to keep everyone busy.

Airport Transfers

We regularly arrange transport to airports if your child is going to be travelling as an unaccompanied minor. We do this using our trusted taxi companies or our own minibus drivers.

Accompanied transfers to Madrid

For Spanish students, we operate an accompanied transfer service to Madrid at the start and end of every term and half term. Students are accompanied by All Hallows staff for the journey from school to Madrid Airport where they can be collected by their parents.

Covid Safety

Read about our response to Covid and quarantine options. Our parents have been hugely grateful in how we have managed the situation we found ourselves in. As one parent had to say on joining the school during the Covid-19 pandemic...

we have managed to get our daughter these months in All Hallows and I wanted to tell you that she has enjoyed it very much, she has been very happy and has taken advantage of every moment, of the plans, classes, sports and experiences... I am very happy to have decided to send her despite the circumstances.

Please pass on my thanks to all the teachers and people who have taken care of her. She has been sooooo happy...!!

It is time to say goodbye. She is happy to come home and see us but I know she will miss All Hallows very much too...

Also

Thank you again for what you are doing for the international students. We feel very comfortable and reassured that they are in the best hands despite the difficult contexts in both countries.

We are happy that our son can stay at All Hallows during half term...
